CODE 4 CHANGE NZ
Te Ao Māori Meets Tech: Empowering Tamariki, Building Community, Growing Digital Skills, one classroom at a time.
Our mission is to advance equity in tech by increasing opportunities and representation for women, Māori, Pacific, and underserved communities in Aotearoa / New Zealand. We do this by providing free coding, robotics, 3D design and printing programs to primary schools in South Auckland with an Equity Index 6-10. Our mahi (work) ensures that children from underserved communities receive high-quality, hands-on, accessible digital education during their most formative years.
By delivering inclusive, culturally relevant learning, we empower the next generation to innovate, build confidence and unlock their potential in joining the Aotearoa New Zealand’s digital and creative sectors.
VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to advance a diverse and inclusive tech sector that truly reflects the rich cultural tapestry of our nation. Together, we create pathways so that every ākonga feels a deep sense of belonging, achievement and optimism for their future, confidently participating in the technology landscape of tomorrow. We envision a future in which every young person in Aotearoa, especially those from underserved communities, thrives in a technology-driven world.
